L.A.S.E.R. (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission Radiation)
Laser cutting works by focusing a light on a lens and combining it with a coaxial gas jet through a nozzle. Mechanically, the nozzle ejects the fused matter, and chemically, it creates together with the oxygen an exothermic reaction, or conversely, screens the cutting area from oxide formation with neutral gas.
The material at the specific point which the light is focused on, vaporizes.
